Compliance at WAS

As an international company, WAS places great value on fair and equal competitive conditions. To ensure this, we have developed a comprehensive compliance management system (CMS) together with a renowned group of experts. This system sets out binding rules for dealing with customers, market participants and suppliers and guarantees uniform standards for ethical and lawful behaviour.

Our compliance management system protects business relationships, information and employees alike and ensures high standards of data protection and integrity. Our values – equal treatment, transparency and respect – are firmly anchored in our Code of Conduct. This code serves as a guideline for our actions and helps us to build and strengthen trust in the market.

What we do for compliance at WAS:

  • Ethical behaviour and transparency: The Code of Conduct ensures that all WAS employees adhere to ethical standards such as equal treatment, respect and transparency.
  • Secure handling of information: Information security and data protection are our top priority. Confidential data is used and protected exclusively in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Prevention and responsibility: Each and every employee is obliged to comply with legal and internal requirements and to report potential violations to the compliance officer.
  • Binding standards: Our compliance officers and ombudsman are the central points of contact for questions and reports on compliance issues, and ensure that all standards are strictly adhered to.

WAS has also set up an anonymised whistleblower system that employees and business partners of WAS can turn to. This whistleblower system ensures that information is passed on to WAS anonymously and that the identity of the whistleblower remains anonymous and is treated confidentially. If requested, non-anonymised information can also be passed on to WAS.
