The Mobile Medical Practice project – a way forward.

Demographic change is one of the most pressing issues of our time, presenting the healthcare system with new challenges on account of the rising number of vacant doctors' positions, particularly in rural areas.

As an industry leader in the field of ambulances and special vehicles with many years of experience in fitting out mobile clinics, Wietmarscher Ambulanz- und Sonderfahrzeug GmbH has come up with a solution: the Mobile Medical Practice.

This takes medical check-ups, treatment and follow-up care on the road. Besides the GP practice, there will also be a Mobile Medical Practice, enabling doctors to visit patients in their own home or at a defined location (e.g. town hall, school, club house).

It is important that this work station has an attractive design. Associated with this is a fundamental increase in the flexibility of use, for example for medical staff from various speciality fields but also for physiotherapists, chiropodists, dentists or even perhaps district nurses.

The Mobile Medical Practice has a permitted total weight of 3.5 T and can be driven with a normal car driving licence. The highly modular box body with built-on and extending structures, TÜV-crash-tested in accordance with EN 1789, produces a variable usage concept for a wide variety of specialist medical fields, the like of which has never been seen before. The surgery has a modern energy-saving lighting concept which uses LED technology and performance-optimised battery charging management with lithium-ion batteries. The box body with its very good thermal insulation values lends the vehicle a high level of energy efficiency. Furthermore, state-of-the-art modules are provided for the safe transmission of patient information.

The Mobile Medical Practice will be presented to the public for the first time at the IAA in Hanover at the Ford stand in Hall 13, Stand C54 from 25th September to 2nd October.
