WAS 500 E-Ambulance
Box body 4.25 T
With the increasing demand for environmentally friendly and efficient solutions in vehicle construction, it is high time to establish electromobility in the emergency services as well. The WAS 500 E-ambulance VSAV takes this pioneering step and combines the tried-and-tested WAS vehicle concept with a sustainable drive system based on the Iveco eDaily. This electric ambulance combines state-of-the-art technology with high efficiency and optimum comfort for patients and emergency crews.
A key advantage of the WAS 500 E-ambulance is the innovative lightweight box body. Thanks to the use of high-quality, lightweight materials, the box body saves weight and therefore valuable drive energy. The lightweight construction enables the vehicle to get the maximum efficiency out of the electrical energy and optimise the range in use. The box body also offers individual expansion options that can be flexibly adapted depending on the focus of use.
Another plus point of the WAS 500 E-ambulance is the reliable power supply for the medical equipment. Air conditioning, ventilation and all necessary medical equipment are fully powered by the electric motor, so that the operational readiness and performance of the vehicle are not impaired in any way. The structure of the box body, consisting of an aluminium frame and cover layers, also offers maximum safety and provides optimum protection for patients and emergency personnel.
The compact patient compartment is ergonomically designed and offers sufficient space to work safely and efficiently, even during intensive operations. As standard, the vehicle is equipped with a spacious external storage compartment and a wide, side-hinged door, which facilitate access and further increase comfort for the emergency personnel.
With the WAS 500 E-ambulance VSAV, WAS is introducing electromobility to the rescue service and offering a sustainable, high-performance solution that combines the best of proven technology and an environmentally friendly drive.
