6 WAS 500 ambulances for Chile:
Improvement of emergency care thanks to WAS

At the end of September, a total of six new WAS 500 ambulances will be on their way to Chile. These vehicles will play a central role in pre-hospital care in the Maule region. The ambulances will be officially handed over to our customer, the Gobierno Regional del Maule, in November and will serve as multipurpose emergency ambulances in the future. They are specially designed to ensure the transfer and care of critical, bariatric and neonatal patients and will significantly improve medical care in Chile.
We are particularly pleased that Mauricio Martin Hartwig and Rafael Rebollo Andonie, our long-standing partners at RMH SPA, our Chilean distributor, were our guests in Emsbüren last week for the acceptance of the first vehicles.
A long-standing partnership bears fruit
The success of this project has a special significance for us. We met Mauricio and Rafael six years ago, and this first encounter quickly led to an official distribution partnership. Since then, we have worked continuously together to implement ambulance vehicles in Chile that meet the DIN EN 1789 standard and to improve the standard of preclinical emergency care there.
It is impressive how far we have come in that time, and the upcoming delivery of the six WAS 500 ambulances to the Maule region is another important milestone. We would like to thank Mauricio and Rafael for their commitment and personal dedication, without which this project would not have been possible.
