Five concepts, one mission –
136 vehicles for NARU

As part of an outstanding project, WAS GmbH worked closely with our team in the United Kingdom (WAS UK) to produce a total of 136 state-of-the-art vehicles for the Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) of the National Resilience Unit (NARU). This project shows what we can achieve as a team when we develop innovative solutions and work together towards a common goal.
Based on MAN, Toyota and DAF base vehicles, we have developed five unique vehicle concepts that significantly contribute to efficiency and safety in emergency response and disaster relief:
- Response Unit: A specially developed vehicle for rapid deployment in hazardous situations.
- Personnel Carrier: A robust vehicle for transporting emergency services personnel.
- Logistics Vehicle: A vehicle for logistical support and supply.
- Welfare Unit: A vehicle for the care and support of emergency services personnel on site.
- Off-road Response Unit: A vehicle that can be relied upon to work even in difficult off-road conditions.
These vehicles will be distributed to the various trusts in the UK and will play a central role in providing technical support for the ambulance service and disaster relief. We are proud that this project is making a real contribution to improving emergency care and the safety of emergency services personnel. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed their commitment and expertise to the realisation of this project. True to our motto: Making Vehicles Special.
