Doors

  • All entrance doors and equipment doors close in a double rebate with two seals. The double rebate on the door and on the box wall ensures that the patient compartment has the best possible protection against external noise and moisture.
  • The adhesively bonded windows provide a seal that is flush with the vehicle wall, thus forming a very smooth surface. The improved aerodynamics save fuel and reduce wind noise. The heat bonded body panels provide a quite vehicle interior and are also easier to clean.
  • The windows are tinted without the use of adhesive films, which increases hygiene and durability. Privacy is guaranteed in the interior at all times.
  • The moulded recesses are designed both for right- and left-handed people. The generous handle depth also makes them easy to grip when wearing work gloves.
  • Power closing: WAS Door Assist , an electromechanical power closing system, has been developed for all sliding and hinged doors. When hinged and sliding doors are closed conventionally, this can result in excess pressure in the patient compartment which is very unpleasant for the patient and the paramedics, with corresponding noise generation. With WAS Door Assist, the door is pulled shut and locked silently and without generating excess pressure. Additional stresses for patients and paramedics are avoided. Electric power closing is available as an option for all doors.

Side hinged door

  • The side hinged door can be coupled with a mechanical or electric step. Thanks to these special mechanics, the door step is extended and retracted when the door is operated. By positioning the step outside the patient compartment, this preserves the entire working area in the interior even after the door has been opened.

Side sliding door

  • Sliding doors are guided along the vehicle when they are opened, saving space. The advantages of sliding doors for rescue operations in confined locations are obvious. To open 90°, hinged doors require more than 5 times (over 500%) the space.
  • The paramedics have direct access to the emergency equipment.
  • The guide rail is (low) maintenance because it runs in a steel guide without any lubricant.
  • The sliding door allows a large vehicle opening with its clearance of 1798 mm, thus making the lives of emergency crews easier.
  • The double vertical bar locks are connected to the vehicle's central locking system.
  • The precision profiles are CNC-manufactured and close with an airtight seal.
  • All profiles are powder-coated and are adhesively bonded over two dimensions without riveting. This produces a very high level of stability, which in turn allows smaller wall thicknesses and lower weight.
  • The light doors close more quietly with the weight-saving VacuTherm® design. The patient compartment is exposed to considerably less noise as a result.

Rear door

  • The rear doors can pivot up to 270° and thus provide a particularly large entrance opening. The generous access to the patient compartment without a wide wide profile makes loading easier and gives paramedics more room to manoeuvre.
  • The recessed hinges integrated in the profile of the rear portal enable a convenient pivot angle and are even zero-maintenance.
  • Wind safety catches with automatic locking at 90° allow the doors to be safely secured when there is limited space in a parking area. When opening the doors to 270°, magnetic catches hold the door in position.
  • Automatic ventilation to compensate for excess pressure makes it easier to close the door safely and conveniently.
  • Numerous different lift solutions and loading aids can be integrated according to customer requirements.
