WAS 500 Emergency Ambulance
Ford Transit Box Body 4,1 T
This WAS 500 ambulance based on the Ford Transit meets all EN and UK standards and offers maximum reliability in use. The hinged side door and double-hinged rear doors with optional 270° opening allow flexible and quick patient access even in narrow conditions. With a gross vehicle weight of 4,100 kg, the vehicle is optimally designed to meet the requirements of the British emergency services. Particularly worth mentioning is the Stryker Power-LOAD system, which lifts and loads the stretcher electrically and hydraulically – for greater safety and significantly less physical strain. This is complemented by the Stryker Xpedition carrying chair, which transports patients comfortably and ergonomically up and down stairs. Both systems noticeably reduce the strain on rescue personnel and contribute to health, safety and efficiency in the field.
