The WAS 500 Infection control ambulance is a latest-generation infection ambulance that combines protection, functionality and flexibility in a highly secure overall concept. The airtight box body with automatic negative pressure control and a modern filter system reliably protects staff and patients from contamination. At the same time, the modular interior design allows for a wide variety of configurations – from intensive care to multi-purpose transport. With powerful air conditioning and air treatment, digital control, ergonomic workstations and a robust design that meets the highest quality standards, the WAS 500 infection control ambulance is the ideal solution for special operations, pandemic preparedness and infection transport worldwide.
The multifunction vehicle's generous space allows for the transport of both intensive care and bariatric or infectious patients. Various heavy-duty or intensive care stretcher systems and even hospital beds can be driven gently into the vehicle via the tail lift. When transporting infected patients, a specially developed air conditioning system continuously filters and conditions the air in the patient compartment as well as the incoming and outgoing air. During transport, the system automatically ensures a constant vacuum in the patient compartment.
The WAS 500 heavy-duty/intensive care ambulance (S-RTW/ITW) on a Mercedes-Benz Atego 10.5-T box body is optimally designed for a wide range of applications, including demanding intensive care and bariatric transport. With a spacious patient compartment, heavy-duty stretcher, integrated scales and flexible seating arrangement, this large vehicle offers maximum adaptability, comfort and precision.
The WAS 500 bariatric/intensive care ambulance on a MAN TGL 7.49 T box body offers maximum flexibility for a range of applications. It can be driven with a C1 driving licence and has a generously sized patient compartment, making it ideal for intensive care and bariatric transport. A heavy-duty stretcher or a hospital bed can be loaded without difficulty using the tail lift, while the flexible seating arrangement ensures maximum adaptability.
The WAS 500 bariatric ambulance Mercedes-Benz Sprinter box body 5 T has a Tempmatik air conditioning system, a parking heater, an MB audio system Audi 10 and fog lights with cornering light. In addition, painted bumpers, driver and passenger airbags, thorax sidebags, windowbags, outside temperature display, light and rain sensor, engine continuation and cruise control are integrated to ensure maximum comfort and safety.
The WAS 500 multifunctional ambulance on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 5T combines optimum space utilisation, ergonomic conditions and the highest safety standards. With a spacious, hygienic patient compartment, illuminated grab handles and a wide sliding door for quick access, it is ideal for the demanding rescue service. Equipped with a high-quality warning system, this vehicle is suitable for use as an RTW, paediatric ambulance, baby ambulance and S-RTW, and meets all the proven standards of the WAS brand.
