In November 2014 Wietmarscher Ambulance and Security Vehicles GmbH has delivered the first box ambulances based on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter in the desert state of Qatar. The customer, the Hamad Medical Corporation, main service provider in public health sector, ordered 7 ambulances ICU. The special requirements, especially against the background of climatic conditions and the corresponding specifications of the clients had been designed, developed and implemented by WAS to the fullest satisfaction of the customer.
The ambulances are equipped with a rear lift, an entrance at the right side, an entrance on the left side and an entrance in the rear. The vehicles are also to be used as bariatric ambulances. Additionally an air conditioning system has been developed that gives the patient room cool air even at 230V shoreline supply and while driving the ambulance.
As part of the handover an intensive training with the user team was held.
